Compatibility has
a few details.
Wemo has a range of devices and firmware generations. Switchroom is built around compatible sockets (outlets) and dimmers; exact features depend on the model and its firmware.
Not every Wemo model is supported. Compatibility can't be promised based only on the Wemo name. If you share a model number, we can help check.
What to expect

About the timers
Both timer features are one-time commands sent to the device. An outlet auto-off timer counts down once and switches that outlet off. A dimmer sleep fade gradually dims that light to off once. Neither is a repeating schedule. Because the device owns the countdown or fade, it can continue while your iPhone is locked or Switchroom is closed.
Switchroom does not offer recurring schedules, sunrise routines, remote access, or HomeKit integration.
Local network requirements
Your iPhone and Wemo need to be reachable on the same local network for normal control. Guest-network isolation, VLAN rules, or access-point isolation can prevent devices from seeing each other. Switchroom does not control Wemo devices over the internet.
For first-time setup, some compatible devices can be joined to home Wi-Fi through the Wemo's temporary setup network. The Wi-Fi password is encrypted with a device-specific key and sent to that Wemo over the local setup connection; the app does not save the password.
