Who provides Switchroom

Switchroom is provided by Mayan Labs LLC (“Mayan Labs,” “we,” or “us”). Contact us at privacy@mayanlabs.studio.

Information stored on your iPhone

Switchroom stores app data locally so it can remember devices and show active timer progress. This can include Wemo device names, model and serial identifiers, local network addresses and ports, and the start/end details and brightness needed to display a confirmed one-time timer or fade. The app uses these records to rediscover devices and reconcile timer status.

This device information is not sent to a Switchroom server. Deleting Switchroom removes its locally stored app data subject to iOS behavior and backups.

Wi-Fi credentials during device setup

If you use the supported Wemo onboarding flow, you enter your home Wi-Fi password to configure that Wemo. Switchroom encrypts the password using a key derived from device-specific information and sends it to the Wemo over the local setup connection. The app does not save the password or send it to Mayan Labs.

The setup connection is between your iPhone and the Wemo. Your network equipment and the device itself handle the Wi-Fi connection after setup.

Local device communications

Normal control and discovery happen between your iPhone and compatible Wemo devices on your local network. The app needs iOS local-network access to discover and communicate with devices. Switchroom does not provide remote access through Mayan Labs servers.

Analytics, cookies, and third parties

The Switchroom website does not use analytics, tracking technologies, cookies, forms, remote fonts, or external scripts. The hosting provider's infrastructure may process ordinary request metadata—such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps—to deliver and secure the website. We do not include analytics or tracking in the Switchroom app.

If you email support, we receive the address and message you choose to send. We use that information to respond and provide support, and retain it as needed to handle the request and maintain business records.

Children and changes

Switchroom is a general-purpose home control app and is not directed to children. We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date above indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
