About these terms

These terms apply to Switchroom and this website, provided by Mayan Labs LLC (“Mayan Labs,” “we,” or “us”). By using Switchroom, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Contact: privacy@mayanlabs.studio.

What Switchroom does

Switchroom is an iPhone app for local control of certain Wemo devices. Device discovery and available controls depend on model, firmware, iOS permissions, and your home network. Compatibility is not guaranteed for every Wemo device.

Switchroom does not provide recurring schedules, remote access, HomeKit integration, or sunrise features. One-time auto-off countdowns for compatible outlets and one-time sleep fades for compatible dimmers are executed by the device after it accepts the command. Their availability and behavior depend on device model and firmware.

Use and network responsibility

You are responsible for your devices, Wi-Fi network, and any changes made through Switchroom. Use timers and controls with appropriate care. A device may be offline, unsupported, or unable to carry out a command. Do not rely on Switchroom as a safety, security, medical, or life-critical system.

Local control requires a compatible device and a network that allows the iPhone and device to communicate. You are responsible for securing your network and maintaining your devices.

Price and availability

The app is offered for a $1 one-time purchase through the applicable app marketplace. There is no Switchroom subscription. Marketplace billing, refunds, and purchase terms are handled by the marketplace provider. Features and availability may change as compatibility is refined.

Ownership and trademarks

Switchroom, its website, and their original design and content are owned by Mayan Labs LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.

Wemo and related marks are trademarks of Belkin International, Inc. Switchroom is an independent product of Mayan Labs LLC. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Belkin International, Inc. or its affiliates. References to Wemo identify compatible third-party products only.

Warranty and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Switchroom and this website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. Mayan Labs does not warrant uninterrupted service, compatibility with a particular device, or that every command will be carried out.

To the extent permitted by law, Mayan Labs LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, arising from use of Switchroom. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Updates and contact

We may update these terms as Switchroom changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms, where permitted by law.
